United Empire Loyalist
Loyalist Vignettes and Sketches, Published by The United Empire Loyalists' Association of Canada 1984 and Edited by: Arthur Bousfield and Garry Toffoli (Pg: 140), documents that John Alexander Vail "the son of Peter Vail, a sergeant in the Princess of Whales American Regiment during the American revolution, ... obtained a United Empire Loyalist petition to locate on Lot 40, Concession 12 in St. Vincent".
